Pages that should be easily accessible to all visitors of your site, like your blog and calendar of events, should be included in the top nav, the horizontal navigation that appears at the top of all pages in your website.

  • To add a page to your main navigation, under the page settings, check the Include in top nav box
  • To remove a page from your main navigation, under the page settings, uncheck the Include in top nav box

The page name is what displays in the navigation. This allows for your page headline to be different, and a bit longer, than your page name. Keep page names concise and descriptive and limit the total number of main navigation items to 5 or 6.

Dropdown Menu

To enable dropdown menus, add a subpage, and under the subpage's settings, check the Include in top nav box.

For example, if you want "Get Involved" as the main menu item with "Volunteer", "Attend an Event", and "Donate" as sub-items in a dropdown, you would create or move those pages as subpages of "Get Involved".

Troubleshooting

  • Pages Not Displaying: Ensure visibility settings are appropriately configured for the intended audience.
  • Dropdown Menus Not Appearing: Verify that child items are properly nested under the parent item.
